Puppy – Premium Palomino Quarter Horse Gelding

$5,100

Puppy, is a standout Palomino Quarter Horse gelding for sale, standing 15.1 hands with a strong, stocky build and an easy-going, people-loving personality. Foaled in 2017, he is in his prime and offers a rare combination of softness, training, and true rideability.

Originally owned and used by a seasoned horseman in Western Kentucky, Puppy has been a dependable, everyday partner used for working cattle, pasture roping, and consistent trail riding. His foundation is solid, practical, and built on real-world experience, making him both capable and incredibly user-friendly.

Under saddle, Puppy is exceptionally soft and responsive. He rides one-handed with ease, neck reins effortlessly, and responds to even the lightest cues you can guide him with just a finger. He moves smoothly off leg pressure, side passes both directions, backs softly, and stops immediately when asked. His movement is comfortable and balanced, featuring a smooth jog and a short, collected lope that is easy to ride all day. He can step directly into a lope from a walk and maintains a relaxed, controlled pace throughout.

Despite having all the “buttons,” Puppy remains incredibly forgiving and simple to ride. He is just as happy going slow and easy on a loose rein as he is performing with precision. This makes him an ideal choice for beginner riders, families, or anyone looking for a confidence-building horse.

On the trail, Tulsa truly shines. He is calm, steady, and extremely sure-footed carefully navigating water crossings, mud, rocky terrain, fallen trees, and uneven ground without hesitation. He is also fully traffic safe and comfortable around ATVs, making him reliable in a variety of environments. Whether riding alone or with a group, he maintains the same relaxed and dependable attitude.

On the ground, Puppy is exactly as his name suggests. He has a friendly, “puppy-dog” personality, often following you around and seeking attention. He is incredibly easy to catch often meeting you at the gate and stands perfectly for mounting, even stepping over to a mounting block when needed. He is easy to groom, bathe, tack up, load, and handle in every way.

If you are looking for a safe, gentle, and fun Quarter Horse gelding, whether for trail riding, light ranch work, or simply enjoying the ride, Puppy offers a rare combination of training, temperament, and personality that makes him a joy to own.
